Tasbeeh Challenge

Tasbeeh Challenge started with my sister. She wanted to compete with her friends over who could do the most dhikr (repeating short prayers), and I thought it would be fun to build an app for that.

You can count your dhikr, complete challenges, track your progress and compete with friends on a leaderboard. I built it in my free time, just because I liked the idea.

I designed and built the whole app myself, from the interface and user flows to the functionality behind it.

That includes the challenge system, the interactive counter, progress tracking, leaderboards and profiles, plus Google sign-in and Firebase for storing user data.

People would use it on their phones every day, so I made it mobile-first, kept the counter quick and satisfying, and added PWA support so it can be installed like an app. Challenges, streaks and points give users something to work towards.

The trickiest part was connecting everything through Firebase. Finishing a challenge has to update the user's progress, points and the leaderboard without making the app feel complicated.

A working app with dhikr counters, challenges, progress statistics, profiles and friend and community leaderboards.

I got more practice building a complete application independently, especially Firebase authentication and storing user progress. What I like most is that it came from a simple conversation. I didn't need an assignment to start building something useful.
